I developed IBD after being on Celexa--a toxic dose.  I couldn't not tolerate at all without tossing it the first six months after getting ill.  I've declined anti-depressants since then.  Very wary since I had never been ill or had symptoms of IBD until 1/2002 after taking Celexa about a year.  But that could be coincidental, who knows.  I think it's reformulated as Lexapro now.

Has anyone experienced gut problems after taking prozac (fluoxetin)? I am wondering if that is what has caused my gut problems..

I developed IBD around the same time I took Lexapro, 4 years ago. But now I

can't seem to remember which one happened first!

But Lexapro did make me happy -- even IBD didn't worry me as much!
