Guest guest
I am a frequent reader of this wonderful group, but a not so frequent contributor. I have CD and have been on SCD strictly for one year now. I have been seeing an integrative nurse practitioner who has done some testing that has uncovered both nutritional deficiencies and candida overgrowth. In an attempt to eradicate the candida, she put me on nystatin, which for me was a disaster. I ended up plunging into a chronic fatigue relapse (I suffered with CFS for years before being diagnosed with CD). At first I assumed my reaction was just die off, but unfortunately I haven't rebounded at all. I saw the NP again yesterday and got the results of more bloodwork that showed low B12 and very low ferritin levels, which I know are really no surprise to people with CD. I am looking for advice on how to increase these ferritin levels. I know this has been talked about before, but since it didn't pertain to me, I wasn't tuned in enough. Sorry! Thanks in advance for the help. Kathy CD 10/08 SCD 1 year
