Guest guest
,Thanks. It may in fact have been the applesauce. I did eat a lot of eggs today. Is the cooked squash easy on the GI tract? How does broccoli and baby spinach sit with you? __________________________________________________________________ CD SCD 5 months Lialda, Purinethol Freeda Vitamins, L. Guest guest
baby spinash and broccoli are ok for me, but keep in mind everyone is different.butternut squash is one of the first foods you can eat. It's stage 1 if you're following stages and I think it's tolerated well by most people. I would assume way easier on your tract than broccoli. Zuchinni is another good one, personally I never got into it though.Do you have a copy of BTVC? If you do then look up the pumpkin pie filling in the back. If you think you can handle the honey/spices in it then it's a great way to cook up something like the cheesecake but with a different and new flavor.-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 8 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 12 pills a day Prednisone 40mg entocort With vit E mixed inBack to intro/stage 1 for now.To: BTVC-SCD From: dozerregan@...Date: Wed, 24 Mar 2010 21:03:26 -0700Subject: RE: Early stages foods ,Thanks. First off, did you peel the apples for you applesauce? Second, I could not have tolerated anything except the asparagus and the avocado right around the time of a flare for YEARS. I didn't do at all well with carrots or fruits. My favorite flare veggie is peeled and steamed zucchini. After that, steamed chopped spinach. Broccoli is said to be advanced for many people, but I tolerated it just fine (while not tolerating the fruits everyone else was eating.) — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
Thanks Marilyn. Carrots usually sit pretty well with me, but maybe I didn't cook them long enough. I'll give cooked zucchini a shot along with some butternut squash. And yes, I peeled the apples for the sauce. __________________________________________________________________ CD SCD 5 months Lialda, Purinethol Freeda Vitamins, L.
