Guest guest
Just my $.02! I was not a big soda drinker before WLS. Since surgery I have tried to drink a little on occasion, but they " hurt " my pouch. So, why would I do something that would make me uncomfortable. I don't think that they are gonna make you gain wt unless they are your trigger! As long as you stick to SF. As for the beer??? As a group leader, I have seen what can happen to someone who tries to go there. After a 15 lb gain and some hard lessons, one of our groups has decided it's just not worth it! Our addictive natures (many of us, but not all, LOL!) make that a place I need to stay away from! Love, Reba > > I agree. Guest guest
Absolutely not!! I drink less than a pint of water a year. Virtually all my fluid intake is diet soda. Guest guest
Hi, Pomy. I know the feeling of wanting to hang onto those clothes. I've kept clothes for years, either hoping I'd lose enough weight to wear them, or like you, worrying I'd gain. I've done both things, and sometimes the clothes have just gotten so out of style I gave up on them anyway! Good luck in keeping that weight off. When I took pred, I gained so much weight, I had to buy all new clothes and everyone would tell me not to eat so much. When I tried to explain the reason, they would answer that I'm just making excuses. That felt real good! No matter how much you don't eat, it's a no win. I couldn't even see my shoes. After many years of not taking pred, this past year i've lost weight. This is really the first time I've been lucky to loose weight. However, I've kept my old clothes, because I'm always scared that the sarc will return and with it all the medicines.
