Guest guest
After mine is dry, I throw it in the blender until it's powder then put it in a container. Does anyone have a better method to save time? I dry mine in my Excalibur. I powder it in a blender. Mortar and pestle works. Guest guest
The last time (and first time) I did it I dehydrated the garlic in a dehydrator and then used a mortar and pestle to grind it. I was making onion powder at the same time and my bf suggested using the vitamix. It worked well but my problem with it was that the powder went all over the blender and I ended up not being able to use some of it because I just couldn't get it all. I just bought a coffee grinder that a store employee said several other people had bought for essentially the same reason. I think it will work better because it's in a smaller container. ::laughs:: But I still feel like I'm cheating when I use the powdered stuff because I've been using nothing but fresh for 4 years! Guest guest
Thanks for everyone's replies. You all are so helpful! I wasn't sure if a blender or grinder would be disastrous or not. I'll try it and see if it works for me. Thank you!!! :-) To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Wed, February 24, 2010 9:47:48 AMSubject: Re: Re: Garlic powder-is there a trick to making it?
