Do you know for sure Kaiser won't pay for it? Are you asking for

plastic (cosmetic) surgery? The excess skin is actually reconstructive.

It may be worth the fight to get an approval/denial before deciding this

is not in your future.

Welcome Joy. I myself am 10 years post op and just got abdominplasty this

past Feb. I had been denied twice in two different states and two different

types of insurance. Now, I have also been approved for a breast lift and a

revision of the abdomin..not enogh taken the first time. Never give up. If

you want it there is always hope.

I had pretty much learned to live with the excess skin, though miserable in

the summertime. Just like anything else in life, you learn to adjust and

adapt.

Keep looking into options and start getting documentation of any problems

the skin is causing you. Hopefully, you will find a way to convince

insurance to pay.
