Guest guest
I have read a lot about juicing raw cabbage to heal ulcerations. I plan on juicing twice a day - hopefully 4 cups a day total for 14 days. Anyone ever try this? I will post my results. When I was flared up, I had a juice every day with raw cabbage, celery, strawberries, blueberries, and sometimes kale or chard stems left over from our green smoothies. The juice actually tasted really good, with the berry juice, and I think it probably did help. I felt like my body was craving it. Hope your experiment goes well! Guest guest
I've tried it but I never kept up with it. I'm sure you know, but it's red cabbage that's healing, not green. Make sure you put some carrots in the juice because drinking it plain it's a strong sort of spicy taste and it will take your breath away! I've read studies about that too, and it looks very powerful to heal ulcers in the stomach/digestive tract but you have to use alot and often which is why I never kept up with it. I think in the study I looked at they took it 4 times a day for 2 or 3 weeks. Not sure how much each "dose" was though.I'd say it's def. worth a shot! Guest guest
Hi Dawn,  I am sitting here drinking green cabbage right at this moment too. On all the websites I've been to, they used green cabbage. A lot of them show a picture of a green cabbage and they actually mention 'savoy' cabbage which is the green cabbage.  I have gastritis and this was recommended to me to drink by someone else who had gastritis and it worked for them.  I am hoping for a miracle and that it will work for both of us.  Terri SCD 3 weeks Possible Crohn's/Mucous Colitis Gastritis  It is red cabbage? I read it was green???? Here I am drinking green right now.... >> > I've tried it but I never kept up with it. I'm sure you know, but it's red cabbage that's healing, not green. Guest guest
I've never had an ulcer but cabbage juice healed one for a neighbor we used to have. I think she used it for several weeks, at least. I am hoping for a miracle and that it will work for both of us.

Guest guest
I read two interesting things about cabbage juice... It takes your iodine and fermenting it is better than juicing . Has anyone fermented cabbages? >Great to hear - thanks !!! > > >> >> I've never had an ulcer but cabbage juice healed one for a neighbor >> we used to have. Guest guest
That is interesting because raw cruciferous vegetable do suppress the thyroid and if it robs your body of iodine that must explain how. I have fermented cabbages and other vegetables but it has been a while. I wonder how I would tolerate them now. > >> > >> I've never had an ulcer but cabbage juice healed one for a neighbor > >> we used to have. Guest guest
I have tried it - I always loved the ones Rejuvenative Foods sells. The ones I have made at home have been disappointing by comparison. > > > I read two interesting things about cabbage juice... It takes your > > iodine and fermenting it is better than juicing . Guest guest
What are the foods with iodine again. I know we talked about this recently, but I forget. If we think we are low in iodine - how much do you supplement? MaraI read two interesting things about cabbage juice... Guest guest
I think foods that originate in the ocean are generally high in iodine. Seaweeds are illegal, so I guess I should eat more fish for a while.
