Don't Need Jaw Surgery After All

I just joined this group a few weeks ago after an orthodontist told

me I needed lower jaw advancement in addition to orthodontia. I've

had several more orthodontic consults since then and none of the

other orthos agree with him. They have all said that my issues can

be resolved with orthodontia alone and no surgery, and they all said

that given the slight improvement surgery would make compared to the

risks, they would not recommend it in my case. So I'm not going

forward with surgery, just straightening. I'm very relieved.

I just wanted to say that even though I'm now not going to be " one of

you " , I really appreciated the information I got here and the

kindness and support of the group members here. You guys are all

great and I wish you wonderful success with your surgeries. God
