Guest guest
If you're strong, energetic and generally able, I'd guess a minimum of two weeks, but four would be a lot better... C. I'm going on others' experience here. I've never had even one! C. > > I am about a year away from surgery, (upper and lower) and have 3 > children 5 and under. Guest guest
Hi , I had surgery in November, one day after my daughter turned 4, and I have a 2 1/2 year old.--- THis is my story: I made a calendar for my mother who was staying with me to help, (my hubby is a workaholic) for two weeks, thinking that was plenty of time....well...she stayed with me for 6 1/2 weeks!!!! I was completey wired, and let me tell you it was rough. it was hard with my little one and me not talking. I found it was too difficult to go anywhere because I could not talk, and I was NOT going to take my children in a store like that,,,,god forbid anything happened! My 4 year old was great, but it was not easy. being wired was MUCH harder than I thought it would be...I had NO personality at all...I don't want to get you down, so I will leave it at that. I am fine now, and when I tell someone i was wired for 7 weeks, I myself can't believe it is over and forgotten. My kids are fine, but my little one now wants me only!!!! If you need any questions answered I am more than happy to help. so, to sum it up....have help. ps. my son had an emergency and thank goodness my mom was here to call the Doctor!!!! I could NOT have done it! good luck, bethanne In orthognathicsurgerysupport , ceast36532 <no_reply@y...> wrote: > > If you're strong, energetic and generally able, I'd guess a minimum > of two weeks, but four would be a lot better... > > C. > > I'm going on others' experience here. Guest guest
Thanks for the info. I really want to be fully prepared. My dr. told me I would only be wired for 2 weeks although I am hearing people talk about being wired for 6-8 weeks. I want to reconfirm with the dr. that the wiring is only that short. Although he said I would then have bands on my teeth for another month. Just not as restricting. I am most worried about my younger ones as well. I know my 5 year old will be fine. In fact, he will most likely be 6 by the time I have my surgery. The other 2 will be 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 when the surgery is done. > > > > > > I am about a year away from surgery, (upper and lower) and have > 3 > > > children 5 and under.
