Just found a great-tasting jerky (cross-posted to DS_PostOpFriends)

I just found a WONDERFUL jerky in a hardware store in deal, MD, near

a friend's sailing marina. So good, in fact, that I ordered about

$80 worth on the web http://www.linksnacks.com/ (see below). I

ordered " 1 ounce Kippered Steaks in 24-count packages at a cost of

$20.50 per package " in BBQ flavor, as that is what I had purchased in

the hardware store. I also ordered some " jumbo " steaks to compare.

The " Kippered Steaks " are chewy and juicy and not overly salty or

spicy. There are, of course, other choices at the web site. I can't

wait for my shipment to arrive!

Steve, I wanted to tell you that I love the Jack Links beef jerky too. I

prefer the Teriyaki flavor, and the peppered. I buy mine at Wal-Mart for

$3.50, that is a 4 oz. bag. Since it is here in WI they make it, I was

going to try to see if they have a discount store, but never got around to

it. It is so yummy, and not tough and hard like a lot of other jerky's.

let me know how the Kippered steaks are.

That's the only kind that I have tried, because that is what was at

the store where I bought them. The BBQ Beef ones are absolutely

delicious. --Steve
