Hello my name is Isabel, from Illinois. I did got o my initial interview with a

place here that does this procedure. They are called the Wish Center. I think

everything went well. I had a complete exam from psych, to nutritional factors

and about a 20 minute interview with a doctor who would preform the surgery. I

felt very comfortable with all the information they gave me. Also they gave me a

exercise and diet plan that I have to follow for 8 weeks. After that I'm to have

a pre-op consultation to see how everything went. Well I have not been following

it many are the factors. But mainly I guess is my insurance. WLS is covered but

you have to be approved for it. I do not have at least 6 months of supervised

diet history. Mainly because when I did want to start visitations to a dietician

are not covered nor are most of the medications to try and loose weight.

Any one in this group from Illinois specifically Chicago, that has Blue Cross

Blue Shield of Illinois? Was anyone denied and then appeal it? Has anyone had

their operation done at the Wish Center they are located in Downers Grove, IL.

I guess I can tell you guys a little about me. I am 29yrs old and I weight about

380lbs, I have always been overweight from birth. Yet my weight has not really

made me hibernate in my home and lock myself from society. I did go to school

and currently studying for my MBA I have traveled. Yet I never felt fully happy.

Yes I may have gone to school and able to travel, I even went to Europe last

year but I felt so unconfortable. I was just waiting for them to charge me

double because i do not feel totally comfortable in one seat. And other issues

that well arise because of me being overweight.

I would just like to hear some feedback.
