Rather silly 'is this ok after surgery' question/advice

Hello all! I'm looking at having a 3 piece Leforte

sometime 'soonish'. I'm not sure when, my ortho is a perfectionist,

and of course everything needs to be perfect before he releases me

to my OS for surgery. I understand, surgery will go better when my

teeth are perfectly lined up for surgery, I know all this... I'm

just getting a little bummed with how long this is taking. I also

realize that this isn't taking that long compared to many others, I

just have many things I would like to plan on doing that I feel

are 'on hold' (starting a wedding photography business and having

kids would be the big two!) as I don't know when this surgery will

be other sometime *hopefully* in the next 6 months. Which is just

far enough away that I am antsy wanting to start these things, yet

close enough that I don't want to start these things until after my

surgery... Anyway, that's all another story!

My question is, and I realize that this is a rather funny question

but, how long did you wait after surgery to ride a rollercoaster/go

to an amusement park and actually ride the rides? My hubby and I

are trying to plan out a potential summer trip and one of the things

that we would like to do is go to Six Flags. Now I'm not an idiot,

I'm not planning on riding a roller coaster until MANY MANY months

after my surgery once it finally happens. This just brought up a

question in my head and I was just wondering how long people DO wait

or how long other's OSs have told them to wait. I know it can take

many months for your bite to even feel like it's 'yours' and that

healing can take some time. And I am certainly not going to do

anythign at all that may injure my new bite. In fact, I'm thinking

I personally would wait at least a year before riding any crazy

rides. Just a funny question I had that I didn't want to bother my

OS with, I figured you guys could help. :) THANKS!
