I use it for convenience, but it does not have acidophilus in it, so I take the

acidphilus probiotic too when I use it. It is nice to have around. I don't think

it is that much more expensive because you use so little of it- 1/4 tsp to a

liter- at a time.

http://www.giprohealth.com/giprostart.aspx would be a bit more expensive but

you pay for the convenience of not having to buy fresh dannon plain yogurt all

the time. Anyone use this? Is it any better or worse than dannon plain yogurt as

far as the strains of bacteria? I've always used the dannon plain, but this

looks interesting.

Anyone use this? Is it any better or worse than dannon plain yogurt as far as the strains of bacteria? I've always used the dannon plain, but this looks interesting.I just started using it. I'll let you know if this batch of yogurt tastes any different! You only need 1/8 tsp for TWO quarts though, so it's much easier to mix and such.
