Removal of the gall bladder. Adhesions are scar tissue that forms

internally wherever structure has been disturbed by surgery. The

adhesions from prior surgeries often have to be removed or at least

cut through to permit the current surgery to proceed. Often, this is

very delicate, especially when the adhesions surround anatomical

features like blood vessels, nerves, pyloruses, ...

Cholecystectomy is removal of the gall bladder.

Doreen-

A cholecystectomy is the technical term for gallbladder removal.
