Guest guest
I too have a Yogourmet yogurt maker, with the same problem of achieving too high a temp. I bought a lamp dimmer, and it didn't work well (at its highest setting, it brought temp down too low) I achieved some success by leaving the top cover off the yogurt maker, but since I wanted to sleep during the night and not have to keep checking it, I surrendered and bought a dehydrator, which has a control starting at 95 degrees, and up. I didn't get the most highly rated one, the Excalibur. The Nesco Harvest does well and is widely available on line. You need to buy the set of extender trays, separately, to achieve enough height to accept the yogurt jars. I didn't want to give house room to yet another appliance, but this one works well, and of course, has other functions which I am exploring. My new rule is not to buy single function appliances.
