Guest guest
I'm beginning to think that perhaps my surgery was performed in reverse and that instead of creating a small new pouch I received the larger section of stomach and the small pouch is the unused portion. Realistically I know this isn't true but I don't seem to ever feel full. I'm afraid to eat too much so I make sure to keep measuring my portions. My surgery was on March 1st and now I'm at the stage where I can eat 5 meals a day of 1/2 to 1 cup each. I read postings from so many people that say after 3-4 bites they can't eat anymore. Well, not me. I can eat it all and I still want more. So when does this " full " feeling kick in? I'm really worried because this was the main part of the " tool " I needed. If I have to keep measuring for the rest of my life to make sure I don't overeat I'll be very disappointed. I just want to be able to push away the plate and say - " no more for me please " . But that just isn't happening. I eat my meal and watch the clock for when I can eat again. I wake up at night hungry. I know I'm getting enough protein - that's all I eat. Tuna, cottage cheese, chicken, turkey, salmon, yogurt. Has this happened to anyone else? My dr says to just stick to measuring and I'll be fine. Great. Not what I wanted to hear.
