Guest guest
You are right, , we all see it differently. I thought I needed Ceep's hand to help me for you do not know me from Adam, but she does. I realized I didn't after all, tho I love hearing from her any day of the week. Ceep knows I would never hurt anyone. Ceep knows I do help people everyday and that is with kindness and understanding. Ceep knows the agony these last almost 10 months have been for me. But, Ceep knows the real me. Unfortunately, no one, unless we bare our souls day after day to each other or talk on the phone knows the real us. It was for that reason I sat back and listen to each of you and could see where you might have misunderstood. That is why I said my regret. Guest guest
I don't have a comment on what you (Sandi) wrote about conquering the food obsession other than congratulations. We are all different, and I accept that what works for one of us may not work for another. However, I think it is important for all of us to remember that the purpose of this board is to share and offer support. I think Sandi has been unfairly blasted for expressing her opinion and I hope others will not be discouraged from posting for fear of being flamed. I may be overly optimistic or just plain naïve, but I always read posts with the positive in mind. I give the writer the benefit of the doubt, and try to assume the writer meant no deliberate harm if it appears that their post is hurtful on the surface. I love open discussion and think it is how we all learn from each other. So my real message is we have all suffered enough....some from weight related issues, others from emotional, fiscal or whatnot issues. We should be gentler with each other as this board is such a valuable resource to so many people! Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have to agree with everything said in this post. You know, when I first read Sandi's post I was very happy for her----I applaud accomplishments such as hers. Then I saw the responses coming in and I have to tell you----I was seriously embarrassed for her. I saw nothing in her writing that would/should warrant such disrespect. Just my opinion... BJ in Va PS.....try that fabulous cottage cheese recipe (Rice Pudding Surprise) in the new WLS Lifestyles magazine----it is excellent. If you didn't get the magazine, let me know and I will post the recipe. wrote: I don't have a comment on what you (Sandi) wrote about conquering the food obsession other than congratulations. Guest guest
I have been reading all of this with great interest. When I read Sandi's first post...MY personal opinion was...she came on a LITTLE strong. Then I considered what we always say...Your Mileage May Vary. What works for one does NOT always work for others. Then I considered that sometimes we come off sounding a bit STRONG in our emails. WE are after all, passionate about this WHOLE issue of MO, weight loss, food issues etc. So, I sat and read. I think now, as a first post...it was a BIT strong sounding. LOL I would have liked to have gotten to know Sandi better before she started telling us all how she is maintaining. Since she knows Ceep so well, she knows this is like a HUGE family. Some times you have to be a little more gentle when putting across a message that some might not want to hear. Now, I am NOT saying I agree with her. But then, I do my own thing...and have my own issues....just like everyone else here. So....that said....welcome Sandi. LOL You certainly got people stirred up here.
