What would you do and question about regression

So we went for our regular appt and they did a scan today. The

results were awesome!! Our Ortho's goal is less that 3.5% and Bryce

is at 4.1%. The Ortho said that we could be done today, if I was

happy with the results. She stated that he had such a huge

improvement and that we are really " nit picking " at this point. It

is obviously the summer, in California and Bryce is really starting

to notice the hemlet (tugging at the straps). I also think that his

delay in crawling and lack of love for rolling is attributed to the

helmet. So...what would you do?

Second question is about regression. At this appt the Ortho started

talking about Bryce sleeping on his tummy from now on. Bryce has

been a back slepper with the whole SIDS thing and I honestly don't

think that he is going to be on board for the sleeping on his tummy.

Bryce is still not fond of the tummy-time, but he will do it. What

do you all know about regression and what would you do in this

senerio? If I put his to sleep on his back after he is done with the

helmet, do i have to be stressed all over again about

repositioning?????

,I've started sleeping my daughter on her side, in hopes she will roll to her tummy to sleep eventually. It is working so far - I've gone in two or three mornings this past week to find her content on her tummy. The Doc Band naturally lends itself to them sleeping with their heads to the side, but I'm not sure how your band works. And sorry, I have no idea about regression. I'd be interested to hear from others as well.Kindly,Sandymom to Lyla (7mo) 6 weeks in DocBandand Owen 4-----

Hi -

I think I would probably leave it on a little longer. If there's

room in the band, I would want to get the most out of it and not

question whether I stopped it too soon. I know how you feel though,

I'm ready for Jake to be done, but I'm afraid to throw in the towel

too early in case we miss a growth spurt or that last bit of

correction that I'm looking for. If you're really happy with the way

his head looks and would continue to be happy with it if there was

no more natural correction as he got older, then graduate. But if

you have any doubt that you're not totally ready to be done, I would

stick with it a little bit longer.

Regression only happens about 1% of the time. I was personally not

comfortable about putting my babies to sleep on their tummies. Once

they started rolling over in their sleep and doing it themselves, I

was fine, but I would always put them to sleep on their backs. It

might be that once Bryce does come out of the band, he'll start

rolling over in his sleep on his own. But I would advise you to

speak to your pediatrician first before tummy sleeping.

Please let us know what you decide!

wow! I am so happy for you guys. With this heat I would be done if you are happy with his head shape.

Hi .

I'm glad you've gotten such great improvement for bryce. I was looking

at his pics again and from some it looks like he has some extra

height and probably some brachy - do you know his cephalic index? If

he does have some brachy that may also improve if you can keep the

band on longer.

Do you have any pics to post of his new and improved head? :-)
