Guest guest
Hi Sherri, I had BSSO a couple years ago and have had a numb tongue ever since. I didn't have any feeling at all until about 6 months post-op. It's improved veeerrry slowly since then, but it's steadily getting better. I don't expect it'll ever get back to normal, but all we can do is wait and hope for the best. Oh, it's pretty unlikely that the nerve was cut during surgery. More likely it just got stretched. --Neil > > > > Hi, > > > > I posted this question a few days ago, but hope someone out there > > might be able to relate if they missed it. Guest guest
Thanks for the reply, Neil I just saw the surgeon today and he said the same thing, it probably got stretched and should take six months. Thanks for sharing your experience. Hopefully yours will heal in time.
