You definitely need attention and fast. How could the surgeon dismiss you that way? Call the first thing tomorrow and if you don't get an answer, find a hospital that does gastric by pass and go to their ER. The radiologists will be familiar with us. In fact, if you are that sick, go today. Insist that they care for you. Guest guest
, sweetie, my prayers are with you. I'm so glad your original surgeon is receptive. This current surgeon sounds like a dud, to put it mildly. Please let us know what's happening. Meanwhile, try to get in as much fluid as you can, sounds like you're become dehydrated along with whatever else is going on. Now, remind me, your revision was from what to what? Assuming your stomach is transected, and we're talking RNY here, I'm wondering if you've developed a fistula because of the reflux. Something has to be allowing that stomach bile to back up into your esophagus. Maybe someone will have some other ideas. Hugs, in NJ ********************** > > Hi everyone, > > I know it's been a while since I've posted. I've been so busy with real life. I finally found a job, yay! Anyway....this may get kinda gross. Sorry. Maybe someone has had this and can give me some help. I had a revision in Feb and everything was going great. Then about a month ago, I started having problems with stomach bile and heartburn again. I can't sleep laying down because things back up and I start choking. It's to the point now that I don't even want to eat. I'm on Protonix for the bleeding ulcer I had and that doesn't seem to be working. I talked to one of my surgeon's and he almost seemed not to believe me. He said avoid foods that bother me. Well...duh, all foods bother me. But anyway, I've been dealing with this and then last Monday I developed diarriah and have had it since then. And not just a little....it's very watery and stuff. I called my original surgeon (in LA, I'm in Northern Cal.) yesterday and he wants me scoped and he said to call my regular > doctor. So I called her yesterday and she's wonderful. She said she'd call around for a scope doctor that's familiar with WLS and I should come in Monday. But now today I'm so weak and dizzy. I called her again and am waiting for a call back. But has anyone had this? There's no blood in my stool that I can tell but there is mucus. Sorry to be gross. You guys are the greatest. If nothing else, just say a little prayer for me. I'm SO TIRED of being sick all the time. Even though I'm at goal (a little below now) sometimes I wish I had never had this surgery. > > Love to you all, > > G in Sacramento > > >
