Anyone had a palate expander?

Hi there I wondered if anyone had ever had one of these, how long

you wore one, could you eat, could you talk, how long were you

turning it, what size gap you had, did people stare and the next

stages after it came out! I really really hate it and would like

to know your experiences!!!
