My son wore AFO's for about 4 months until we finally got an

appointment with a Ponseti doctor. As I remember his feet didn't

change while in the AFO's so they must've kept his feet from

relapsing more. If your son is uncomfortable in them I wouldn't

bother, but if he doesn't mind them they might help a little until

you get to see the doctor.

Personally, after we decided to go to Dr. Von Stein to get our 2nd opinion, I

just ditched the AFO. It was doing absolutely no good, it would not stay on

and Kelsey hated it.

Oohhh Tia, his poor little feet!! I wouldn't keep that AFO on him

another moment!! His feet look like they have lost a lot of correction

and will need to be re-casted to get them back to 70 degrees outward

rotation anyway so why not give his little feet a break?!

You will be back on track, finished the casting and into the FAB in no

time with Dr. VonStein I am sure! Give Austin a big hug from us!!
