that would be a great invention! I love my kodak easyshare as it

does make it pretty easy to share the pictures.

Glad to hear Hayden is doing so well!!

Thanks! And he managed to turn from back to front today too! Guess

he's going to meet all his milestones at once ha ha!

Yay for your little one getting into her shoes soon! I can't WAIT for

the day Hayden is in them. And it looks like the shoes are

the way to go. I've been looking at the website and think they will

work better for us, since Hayden has the complex clubfoot. Let me

know how it goes for you!

Hayden had his appointment with

Oh no, Dr. Pirani is a major Ponseti disciple. I think that the cast slippage

has been the fault of the cast technician, rather than Dr. Pirani who does the

correction because they were supposed to be " holding casts " rather than

corrective. These are the only two that have slipped with Dr. Pirani and he

was quite upset about it. I also think that Hayden is just fed up with it all

and that is why he screams because I know that Dr. Pirani is very gentle with

him. Had I seen Dr. Pirani in the first place we would not be in the position

at all. I keep trying not to beat myself up about it, but it's hard not to go

down that path I tell you.

slippage I have to wonder about the doctor's ability/skill level here.

Hayden Update

Saw Dr. Pirani today around lunchtime and got Hayden's cast reapplied.

This time they used the smaller size of the sock type underlayer on

his foot and some Friar's Balsam to prevent further slippage. Hayden

screamed like a Banshee for the first part like he usually does, but

calmed down and before we knew it, it was done. His foot had not lost

any correction or dorsiflexion, so we're in the clear and just need to

keep these babies on until his shoes arrive (please God, let that be

SOON!) Whew! I'm getting exhausted from all of this and don't know

how you parents have done it when you had to travel great distances!

My hat comes off to all of you who have been through that.

I know it's hard, but don't beat yourself up. You lived and learned like the

WE Also had one cast slippage and whereas our Physio always was there

holding' the foot until the end - on this one occasion she left after the

first cast bandages went on and left a cast technician who had never done

his casting before to finish off. The cast was really big compared to the

other ones and not much bend to the knee. Everyone commented in the plaster

room how smooth this tech does his casts but to us that was not the issue.

No point being smooth if it is too big and too loose. Anyway we had to go

back after 2 days and our normal lady did it and all was fine.............
