Hi, Krista-

Welcome to the board and congrats on your pregnancy! I, too, am a

momma x 3! :) My firstborn was born with a left clubfoot. We saw Dr.

Ponseti after starting off with different non-Ponseti doctors. She is

now almost 6 and doing great!

I don't have much time to type a response at this moment, but here is

a link to a site that will lead you to Dr. P's website (all his

contact info and qualified drs are there), lots of medical info, brace

info, links to personal websites etc:

Here's a link to my daughter's website:

http://ponseticlubfoot.freeservers.com/

If you don't mind telling us what region you live in, we can probably

give you personal recommendations for a good doctor near you!

We're glad you're here- ask lots of questions, that's what we're here

for!

Hi Krista! Welcome & congrats on the new baby! Here is a link to

Ponseti's informational handbook on clubfoot treatment....

http://www.global-help.org

and Ponseti's email....

As for finding a good ortho...that takes time and research on your

part. Start making phone calls to orthos in your area and setup

interviews with them. Follow your mama instincts and you'll be fine!I

picked Mason's ortho strictly because I loved his demeanor and he was

very supportive of me and my fiance and our ideas and concerns. He is

not yet ponseti certified, but Mason's treatment is helping him to

accomplish that. He's had the training, but he hasn't completed

enough cases yet to get certified. Hope that helps to get you

started! Feel free to ask questions or just vent! This clubfoot thing

can get frustrating at times and all of us understand that! Hope your

pregnancy is going well!

Hi Krista,

Welcome! All of us have been just where you are right now! You have

found a great place for information and support. Try not to worry, club

foot is treatable and with the Ponseti method your baby will have a

straight and happy foot in no time =).

We can also help you to find a qualified doctor, just let us know where

you are located. You will become something of an expert on club foot by

the time you baby arrives, not to worry. I know it seems a bit

overwhelming at first but trust me, you will learn everything you need

to know from all the experienced and caring parents on this board -

glad you are here!

link:

There is a bunch of info about the Ponseti method, a list of

questions to ask your doc and info on how to contact Dr. Ponseti.

Welcome to the group!
