Here in San Francisco, the news reported a 5 hour wait

to donate blood. That's how wonderful people are -

they were actually waiting the 5 hours!

Here in NJ, the rush to donate blood is so great that the instructions from

the Red Cross, at least in Central Jersey, is to leave YOUR phone # and they

will call you to have you come in!

This is wonderful news, 5 hour waits and here in Canada, they are so backed

up they want us to call for appointments. It brings tears to your eyes and

heart. I only wish I could give blood, but with an auto immune disease they

would not accept. This I say, even though I am terrified of needles, but you

do what you must.
