Guest guest
white marks on teeth---I can´t find the orignal post BUT I have had white marks on my teeth every time I have had braces(I have had them a few times)...It is NOT caused by flouride AT ALL!!!! It is called de-calcification, the very very early stage of a cavity----don´t panic though it doesn´t mean it will be a cavity--I have never in 21 years had a cavity--just everything else much worse! So get to your dentist for a cleaning and check or ask your ortho to check next time your in. When the braces are removed the spots can be bleached out instantly. and just some more pro flouride--I live in a city that has now failied twice to add flouride to the drinking water due to hysteria and misconceptionhs of flouride---but the flouride that is used for teeth has never ever in history been found to cause an allergic reaction in any animal including humans. I took flouride pills as a child, my teeth are all sealed and I use flouride toothpaste since forever---and no cavities---thats probably just god being a little kind, but it couldn´t have hurt- There is a reason why the ADA and AMA reccomand it.... > > Did you use some sort of flouride based mouthwash?
