Guest guest
Just remember, everyone, that the U-Turn bars are high in sugar and carbs -- yes, they are delicious, but don't think of them as a meal or a protein, think of them as a better treat than, say, a Snickers bar. I don't have a U-Turn with me, but I have their " brothers, " Detour and OneWay, made by the same company and very similar, in my dek drawer, and they have 12 grams of sugar each. If you're going to have one and you dump, have 1/2 one, or even 1/3. Your friendly sugar cop, ~~ Lyn G
Guest guest
Wal-Mart sells a smaller Detour and U-turn that only has 6 gms of sugar... There is also one at GNC that is delicious that has only like 2 gms of sugar, Oddesey I believe... They are like $3.23 each... Not gonna pay that when you can get sugar free reese's for like $1.67 at Wal-Mart.... But they are good. Guest guest
These have very high sugar and carbs. I dump from them HOWEVER, I did find a low sugar/low carb version of these called Odyessy (sp?) Bars, THese taste real good and have 3 grams of effective carbs. I still treat them like a candy bar and only get one for the movies or a picnic dessert. They do have 12 grms of protein (can't remember for sure, haven't had one in a month or so) Rita in Vermont

As soon as my U-Turns and Detours are gone, I'm stocking up on Odyssy bars - I like them SO much better and they aren't quite as high in carbs and sugar. I found them at the GNC - if I'm going to have a protein bar as a candy bar replacement, this is it! For regular protein bar meal replacements, I stick with the Tri-o-plex bars (1/2 of one) - yummy!
