Guest guest
A friend who can't chew loves donuts, and apparently dips them into his coffee until they are just about mush. Try it, it might just work for you! Of course, given the amount of sugar in a Krispy Kreme, you could also just ladle oodles of sugar into your coffee and get the same effect, I'm sure! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Jane, , and everyone! > > > > > > > > > I was trying to post earlier but Yahoo was being slow > and > > > > > > > lumbering > > > > > > > > > so I gave up.... Guest guest
Katja, Hang in there, I am finding with eating, talking, and each day my mouth opens wider and wider. I did have to flatten my doughnuts a little though! And I let them dissolve in my mouth before chewing them up. I ate enchiladas beans and rice last night. Tortillas are doable. I have been enjoying eating normal things and choosing things that are soft but not in just the " soft " category. My coworker bought me lunch Friday in honor of my new found eating. I had chicken salad on a croussant and a dr pepper a fruit cup and a cookie. The cookie was hard so I saved it for my daughter. I tried the fruit but it just gets stuck between the rubber bands. The croussant was great! Today my grandmother, mom, dad, aunt and uncle came over and my grandmother cooked chicken and dumplings, potatoe salad, black eyed peas, cornbread, and Mama Nita cake (a crumbled up yellow cake layered with pudding, strawberries, and topped with whipped cream!! I handled all of it extremely well . My left side can chew chicken my right side feels really funny. I feel like the least little pressure and it feels really weird like my teeth are pushing my gums and I can't bite through things. It is still numb but I can feel pain if I bite it and tingling. I find I eat on my left side mostly. Today I brought to the park (looking great I may say! ) and I saw a friend that I haven't seen in a while. She said what have you been doing?? As if I exercised my weight off! I told her just jaw surgery, wired shut for 5 weeks and now trying to put on weight! I am at a weird stage right now. I find it easy weighing 106 and eating whatever I want! I know that won't last forever and am trying to decide do I want to weigh my normal 120 or less? And how will I maintain my normal weight when I get there? It is easy being small because nothing is too small. I can wear too big but not too small. Usually when I decide to exercise it is because I need to lose weight now I am exercising to be healthy. That has to be better than doing it to lose weight. Let me know how matters are progressing. Hope I didn't ramble on too long! Guest guest
Katja, I am truly eating everything!! Well, almost everything...I ate chicken nuggets from chick fil a today and waffle fries and a fudge brownie!! When I got the nugget in my mouth it automatically chomped down. My chewing is going great EXCEPT I have this really weird sensation on my numb side. When I try to chew on that side it feels like my lower lip is puffing out. I even looked in the mirror once to see when I put pressure on my bottom back tooth if my lip really was puffing out but it wasn't it is just a weird sensation. I have lots of tingling and those phantam itches on my numb chin and lip so maybe that means FEELING! I also have some minor brief shooting pains in my numb areas. Yesterday I reached a MILESTONE. After work I was so hungry and I had this satisfying feeling that I could actually DO something about it. SO I went to sonic and ordered a jr cheeseburger. I scarfed it!! It was like record time. I am noticing I am eating more quickly lately. I used to run out of time on my 20 min lunch break only eating about half my sandwhich now i am back to normal and my surgery was Feb 23. I think wow that is only 2 months and a few days!! It feels like longer! Good luck getting a doughnut in will definately help your opening Try nuggets too! Chick Fil A's are very soft and the easiest softest french fries are 's because they are fatter!! OK I weigh 110 now I have to get healthy!!!! I switched back to my skim milk again last week. That's a start! (Powder doughnuts are great too! Sorry food is so enjoyable. It all is stages.
