Guest guest
Hi! Glad you found us! This site has been really helpful to me too. If it's NHS does that mean you're on a waiting list? I wouldn't have thought that left much scope for trying to get an earlier date. It never hurts to ask though. If I were you I'd make sure your OS knows when you're getting married. They'll then understand why you're so anxious to get the operation over and done with. Guest guest
I reckon that how your surgeon responds depends on his personality. But if I'm not mistaken, the NHS views these procedures as elective (so does my surgeon -- medically necessary, but elective) and you can be bumped if, say, your surgeon has a patient with a more urgent need (surgery for a cancer patient is one example that has arisen with another patient). And beside that, you really DO NOT WANT to have surgery before your teeth are in the right positions for it to serve you best. Patience is difficult, but it's the name of this game.
