Guest guest
Probably taking the supplement with FOS and bifidus won’t help you over the long term; might reverse all the work you’re doing by not consuming polysaccharides, might also cause other problems. There are also some other ingredients in this supplement that are illegal or questionable, making it risky (in my opinion). Read what Elaine has to say about FOS and bifidus: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/bifidus.htm http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/fos_fructooligosaccharides.htm http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/inulin.htm Gas, diarrhea and constipation are all signs of a disrupted gut ecology. This damage is going to take time to repair. If you aren’t liking or tolerating the yogurt (and I can’t touch yogurt) then I’d use either a legal L. Acidophilus or give S. Boulardii a try. These two microorganisms have proven to be community-minded, and the legal forms won’t have illegals which can cause more damage. Then, just stick to SCD 100% for a while. You should find that a lot of your symptoms will disappear as your gut ecology stabilizes. Kim M. SCD 6 years >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> …..but I'm having a problem convincing myself that this was a bad scenario when I felt so much better. Also, the night sweats have never ever come back, but I do still have gassiness, diarrhea and constipation. The SCD-legal yogurt doesn't give me that " medicinal effect " as someone else on here put it. Could it just be that this would work better for me but not someone else? So, can someone help me to understand better why I'm not supposed to be using this? Could I still have been helping my gut even though it wasn't SCD legal? Thanks!
