Guest guest
, I would be interested in obtaining Dr. Dobbs contact info. I am especially interested in the FAB that allows the baby to move each leg independently. My son has not been able to tolerate the Markell shoes with the DBB. Thank you for your help. Guest guest
Amy, You can reach Dr. Dobbs at mattdobbs@... There are also a few photos of the brace, one showing it with custom molded AFO type shoes, and a couple with the Markell shoes in the photos section of the groups' website, I think the file is just titled " Dobbs' brace " . Hope this helps. > > > > > > > > > I know what you're talking about Joy. We pay > > > out > > > > > of pocket for the kids to see Ponseti and the > > > cost > > > > > keeps going up. Guest guest
I want to thank you for responding. I will try to get ahold of Dr.Dobbs tomorrow.I know this has nothing to do with the group, but I am going to try to see Dr.Dobbs at the hospital anyway's,dose anyone know if there is a doctor there that can see my oldest son, for a lump in his kneck? You see my husband has cancer, this type is known in the family among the men. I found a lump in my son's kneck ( the same spot, where they found my husbands.) and have heard that Shriners is the best childrens hospital for kids. Also I think I have asked this before, has anyone heard of Botox for clubfoot? Bri Amy Hill wrote: , I would be interested in obtaining Dr. Dobbs contact info. Guest guest
Bri- Sorry to hear about your situation. With regards to botox-there is a mom from Canada(hayden's mommy) whom had her son treated with botox- unsuccessfully and now she sees Dr Pirani-I hope she pipes in. With regards to your other son-shriner's would be an option-as well as trying your ped first. The lump in the neck could be something as simple as a swollen gland-which can occur during growth spurts, etc. Good luck with everything! take care, kathleen mom to david bcf fab 12/7 > > > > > > > > > I know what you're talking about Joy. Guest guest
Bri, Here is the link for St. Louis Shriner's Hospital. http://www.shrinershq.org/shc/stlouis/ Unfortunately I think they really specialize in Orthopaedic conditions so I'm not sure if there would be a doctor there for your other son's situation. But I may be wrong, so it certainly would not hurt to check into it. Have you had your pediatrician look at the lump yet? I would probably do that first, then they may be able to refer you to someone, or at least tell you what type of specialist you need to see. If you do find you need a specialist, and you want to look for one while in St. Louis, I can probably recommend someone at St. Louis Children's Hospital, they are in the top 10 Children's hospitals in the country. As for the botox for clubfoot, I think someone else mentioned there is a mom on the group who has dealt with this for her son. There are some doctors trying to use botox for clubfoot, but to my knowledge it is not proven to be very effective, and is quite painful. Hope this helps, > > > > > > > > > I know what you're talking about Joy. We pay > > > out > > > > > of pocket for the kids to see Ponseti and the > > > cost > > > > > keeps going up.
