Guest guest
; My prayers and thoughts will go to and be with your sister-in-law for her baby. My nephew and his wife's baby was born with this and Nolan lived for four days they cherished every minute of time with him. I'm sorry for this sad news. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. T Diane Duenas wrote: My sister in law who is 5 months pregnant with a little girl just found out the baby has Trisomy 18( Syndrome). Babies born with this syndrome rarely are born alive and those that do usually only survive a few hours to a few days. Very Very rarely they live a year or more. Sara has decided to continue the pregnancy and cherish whatever time she has with her. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she faces a very hard next few months. She is in the grieving stage right now as she just got the news.....she cannot hardly function and is crying all the time.

Guest guest
Losing children or having children with special needs are such a hard thing at first. I had lost 4 babies 3 which died at birth 1 died a day after and we had to bury, then 2 more pregnancies my oldest son which I was bed ridden for 7 months (that's where 90 pounds of my extra weight came from), then 16 months after he was born I was pregnant again but could not be bed ridden I had no one to care for my 16 month old so I went into labor and had my second son at 6 months ( 1pound 13 ozs) he had a brain bleed, heart surgery, undeveloped lungs, hernia and came home on oxygen and heart monitor for 10 months after being in children's for 4 months. With my oldest son when I finally had him, I got staff infection so bad I almost died I was in the hospital 3 weeks ( I had 8 drains). Then when we got home he started vomitting so hard, the oldest had pyloric stagnosis (spell?) stomach to intestine closing off, he had to have surgery to open it back up. There's so many things that are so hard to decide what is right and how one can handle it. With my second son they told me he won't make it and if he did because of the brain bleed and all the oxygen that I would have a lot to deal with, I took that chance because I could of pulled the machine when he had heart surgery, but I decided to take him anyway God would let me keep him. He was my miracle baby, both my boys who made it are. They are fine and over came all the odds, no problems today and are great. I would of took anytime to be with them like your sister in law even if one didn't make it, and if there would of been special needs for life that's just me and God helps us make the choice and helps us live with what comes our way. Time does help us too, it helps us understand more and cope with things different than when we first hear the news. Things will be hard, all you can do is be there for her and her family. Know she will be in my prayers and thoughts and you will be to because I know you are a very emotional person. So try to think of too. Take care. Donna J. Guest guest
We don't think its genetic. A website said it occured in one out of 50000 to 80000 births. What makes it harder is that there are two other babies due around the same time, one her sister's and one my son's. > My sister in law who is 5 months pregnant with a little girl just found > out the baby has Trisomy 18( Syndrome). Guest guest
Thank you Donna. I remember you telling me before of your children. Im praying for the same kind of miracle for Sara. Ive heard so many stories of the doctor's encouraging the termination of a pregnancy, to find that when born, the babies were fine. Im hoping and praying this is the case here, but if not I pray that Sara's strength and faith will lead her through. > My sister in law who is 5 months pregnant with a little girl just found > out the baby has Trisomy 18( Syndrome). Guest guest
: Tomorrow night is my regular Wed night church service of prayers, candles, and soft beautiful music provided by our choir accompanied by the piano and cello. Guest guest
Hi , I pray that your family finds solace for this trying time and that whatever time is granted to this child is time can be cherished and filled with love.
