Guest guest
Dr. Pirani just showed me on Tuesday how Hayden's crease is disappearing - it's pretty amazing (and this is just from the casting - I'll be curious to see the difference once his tenotomy casts come off!) summersinmarion wrote: Hello all, I spoke with Dr. Ponseti a week ago regarding my son's atypical club feet. He confirmed they were atypical and said our MD should be pushing up on the bottom of the foot with both thumbs. I guess my question for the group is, how will I know when the foot is corrected? In atypical does the crease eventually go away? Without abandoning our MD and heading to Iowa, does anyone have any advice?
Guest guest
busy...??? I truly am the typo queen... Not to worry, Mavis Beacon is about to become my friend. HA! What I meant was his feet were to CHUBBY, not busy, to tell that he had much of a lateral crease. If you saw the x-rays I wouldn't worry too much, particularly since the 's will continue the correction. summersinmarion wrote: Thank you, That is what I was hoping. Our mitchell's come in next week at some point. My son doesn't have a lateral crease, just Transverse. We did have X-rays done and they said the foot was corrected, but the crease is still present. So hard to tell with a little infant foot. Our MD doesn't seem concerned, but just don't want him missing something. > > > > > > Hello all, > > > I spoke with Dr. Ponseti a week ago regarding my son's atypical > club > > > feet.
