Guest guest
Well, we're all different in what we like and what pouches will tolerate. I personally don't worry too much about fat, since I'm not eating that much, and I malabsorb most of it anyway. I have proof of this in the form of dry hair and skin, when they used to be quite oily. I know a lot of people advise chicken, but don't eat beef until a few months after surgery. Well, it was MANY months before I could reliably eat chicken without it making a return appearance. On the other hand, as long as the beef is tender and fairly rare, I have never had a problem with it. I have always done well with seafood including shellfish. One of my early favorites was taking a slice of smoked salmon and smearing cream cheese on it, then rolling it up and EATING it. Yum! You can also take any other cold cut and whatever kind of cheese you like and roll them up together. I'd mix ricotta (like very fine curd cottage cheese) and egg (I used so little egg I just used Eggbeaters since it's hard to crack half an egg) and put it in a flat dish like they use for creme brulee, and put it in the toaster oven until nicely browned. Sometimes I'd doctor it up going sweet by adding a few berries, and sometimes I'd make it savory by adding some herbs and spices and maybe some little chunks of meat, like ham. Scrambled egg with some grated cheese is always nice. I've always been fortunate in that I have a fairly creative brain when it comes to cooking. I generally just imagine what would taste good together, and most of the time it does! At 03:21 05/02/2006, you wrote: >I am wondering if there are any good recipes out >there for me.
