Guest guest
Hi Jenn, I know you have been struggling I have been reading your messages. I guess it is just really getting down and deciding how much you really want this. When I went to my orientation I was in shock when I was told that I had to lose weight just as everyone else because we are all under the same impression that If I could lose weight then why am I here. In the beginning first month I did notlose more than 2 pounds. I felt like such a failure. I didn't follow the meal plan either I was in denial. I didn't want to measure or weigh my food. I didn't do any exercise to speak of except go to my water aerobic classes except I didn't go regularly. Just to walk to the meetings was such an effort. When I went to my second case management meeting I talked to Nadia and she told me that if I really wanted to have surgery she needed to see that I meant it. So I started by getting a food scale and using my measuring cups. I tracked everything and wrote everything down. I got serious about going to the gym and started going everyday. I lost 30 pounds in about 2 months. I was amazed just by doing some minor adjustments how quickly it came out. So I do encourage you to really try because I am sure you can succeed just as we all did because most of us were also sure we couldn't lose that 10% also and did succeed. We are all here for you and everyone else who is having a hard time. Ramona
