Guest guest
I know how you feel. My daughter has an A-Typical AKA Complex Club foot also. Dr. Ponseti corrected what the origional Dr. did not. You will LOVE Dr. P if you go and see him! jennyandkelly wrote: I'm so sorry!!! I know that this is not what you wanted to hear at all- but how fortunate that you found this group, did your research and know about this condition- and that you took the time to send the pictures to Dr. Ponseti before any treatment has started at all. There aren't many babies with this condition (or maybe none at all) that they've been able to follow treatment having the diagnosis prior to starting......so maybe Marcus' foot will have no issues whatsoever in that they'll be examining it extra closely and documenting it step by step to see what develops. I hope it goes/went well with Dr. . I'm sure you'll keep us posted!!!! Guest guest
Sorry to hear the news-however, the master himself will be watching over Marcus for you-that has to be somewhat reassuring. I so wish we could get him the recognition he deserves-but I guess our appreciation is enough for him! Best wishes with the casting phase, kathleen mom to david bcf fab 12/7 > > Well, I sent pictures of Marcus's foot to Dr. Ponseti a few days ago > to ask his opinion of the foot. Guest guest
Well, It does present a few more challenges, but you'd be in great hands with DR P. He treated Gabe's complex clubfeet and today they look fabulous! You'll need to save for 's too... So anticipate that... If you have nay questions at all, I'd be happy to talk with you. My number is . Gabe's feet pictures are on the CLubfoot baord in the photos section labeled Gabe(atypical). novemberfable wrote: Well, I sent pictures of Marcus's foot to Dr. Ponseti a few days ago to ask his opinion of the foot. I will be seeing Dr. tomorrow and Dr. Ponseti insisted that Dr. call him so they can communicate about the foot. We may have to go to Iowa City afterall. Even though I'm feeling pretty bummed myself right now, I must say, Dr. Ponseti is a sweetheart. It's the first time I've ever talked to him and he took the time to explain everything in detail and reassure me that it would be ok. Too bad all doctors are not like him. Guest guest
I know that Dr. P would be the best to see in this case. However, Dr. P mentioned that if he spoke with Dr. and told him what needs to be done, Dr. V would be able to do it. The only way I would need to go to Iowa is if the casts start slipping or the foot doesn't correct. Dr. P felt the foot would need 7-8 casts. We're going to see Dr. V this afternoon for our first visit. Hopefully he's treated cases as severe as this before. We'll see. I'll keep you all posted.
