Chewy or hard is not soft food.

I was at my brother-in-law's about 3 or 4 weeks post-op and they were

nasty enough to put out party mix (pretzels, peanuts, etc) in front

of me. I couldn't stand it since I love pretzels so I took a pretzel

stick and sucked on it until it turned to mush. I wouldn't recommend

it out in public since it might take you half the meal, but it's one

way of getting what you crave (in my case, salt, so crackers and

pretzels are a definite weakness).

Ha ha

,

Like you, I lately have been making good use of the dissolving and

softening ability of my saliva! I have totally been doing things like

your pretzel maneuver- just to get the idea of the taste!! I had to

laugh when I read your post. Katja :)

Hi Katja,

Where there's a will, there's a way! (even if it's whizzed up).

I felt I had conquered that pretzel when I was done, although I felt

pretty silly in the beginning.

Good for you!
