Hi,

This is excerpted from a member of one of the WLS support lists. He

recently came close to succeeding at suicide; his hand was shaking

too much, and the bullet only grazed his temple:

I have not heard any other cries for help (the person quoted above

gave evidence of a planned suicide, and we corresponded quite a bit

about it after we detected his distress, and we provided all the

support that we could provide, but we had no way of locating him and

alerting the local authorities to head off his attempted suicide,

because he was too clever at concealing his moves). BUT, IF ANYBODY

WHO READS THIS IS IN SUCH DISTRESS, PLEASE CALL AND GO SEE LOCAL

MENTAL HEALTH AUTHORITIES ASAP. Also, do not hide your despair from

the rest of us. We are here to give you support in your time of

distress.

In the case of the member above, it turns out that his meds were

actually working against him, and now that his meds have been

replaced with others and/or readjusted, he is seeing the world in a

much rosier light.

Due to my personal research due to depression I would not be

surprised if some of this is caused by nutritional deficiencies. I

have read 2 books that addressed this subject. The Diet Cure and

Depression Free Naturally. Since many of us have malabsorptive

surgeries this coud definately cause the problem.
