I agree with you Mark. I had the open RNY on April 23, 2004 and haven't

regreted it one minute.

Also in agreement, though I can't tell you whether proximal or distal,

whichever is more common, I think proximal. The Lap RNY is a wonderful

procedure. I was down about 26 pounds at my 2 week checkup and have

been steady since then so at 2 months (today :) ) I'm down 53 pounds

and 27 " ....so excited :)!

the lap rny was the best for me. no pain, no problems. a little bit of

discomfort if i laughed too hard or coughed or tried to lay on my stomach to

sleep

for the first couple weeks. tiny little incisions are healing up really

well. very, very happy with everything.
