JosieYeah! Yeah! Yeah! That is completely awesome, verifiable, fantastically good news! I'll bet you and your daughter are walking on air right now! Especially since your daughter is hitting crucial growing stages. Wow!AmeliaTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Wed, March 10, 2010

We just got our 12 y/o daughter's first lab results since starting SCD 5 weeks ago and we couldn't be more pleased. For the first time since her Crohn's dx last March, her inflammation is in the NORMAL range! Her anemia is the best ever - just .2 away from normal, and her iron and folate deficiencies have reversed from last year. She is still a tad bit low on vitamin D, but we are starting to give her D drops and she is happy the dr. isn't pushing the prenatal vitamins or iron pills anymore (she never was able to take them). The best part about her news is that she is finally growing in height. And, as an added bonus: she has been off medication (6mp) for 6 weeks!

We are so thrilled to have found SCD and to have such a smart, logical daughter who embraces SCD wholeheartedly. I want to thank all of you for your guidance, support and inspiration to try SCD. I don't post very often but I read your stories, advice and recipes every day. Thanks again to all of you and to God for leading us here.

Awesome, Josie! That is so great that your dd is doing so well. Hopefully that

will encourage her to stick to the diet. My dd's GI always says, " she's

growing; that's how we know the diet is working " (aside from her labs being

normal, etc).

Hang in there!!!!
