Hi everyone,

I have just had upper and lower jaw surgery to correct on underbite

and have a few questions,

It has been about 9 days I still look quite swollen and my nose seems

so much bigger then it used to. the doctor tells me that most of the

swelling should go away in about 2 weeks but I do not feel like that is

going to be the case.

Is my nose going to stay this big? How long does it take for the

swelling to go down? I feel like I am going to have permanent chipmunk

cheeks!!!

Hi welcome to the group. The swelling is different from person to

person. i too had upper and lower surgery. alot of my swelling had

gone down within the first couple of weeks. but i still had a little

swelling for a few months post op. My nose too looked big, you will

start to see slight changes as the days go by and your chipmunk cheeks

will disappear. hehe... good luck with your recovery and congrats on

making it to the other side.

kind regards
