Guest guest
It will depend on your insurance. My insurance requires that I have doctor supervised weight loss. But one thing I would think about, is trying to lose weight through WW or some program. You might be successful at it and you won't know until you try. I would be very careful making this surgery your first try. This is life changing and should not be entered into lightly. From all the research I have done this is definitely not the easy way out. If you choose to do this surgery you have come to the right place. These people are awesome and can answer just about any question you have. Dora New to the group...hoping for info Hi, My name is Joe, and I have recently started my quest to have gastric bypass surgery. I am 5'8 " , and weigh 360ish. I have a BMI of 54.7. Since I have never really done a weight loss program (Weightwatchers, etc), will I be made to try that first. Or will they accept me as a patient in need of a drastic intervention since I am 200 lbs over weight, with diabetes II, sleep apnea, and gout? I need your help....
