Hi,

I have thought about the kid's meal option too, but I have noticed that the

options available on the kid's menu are not really what I want to eat.

Usually hot dogs...mac & cheese or pizza.....chicken nuggets etc. They seem

to be those high carb & fat sorts of things. So I order a normal meal and

bring it home. It makes a nice extra meal or two at home.

Hi guys! I was wondering if any of you got those kid's meal cards

from your doctors. There are many times that I would like to order

from the kid's menu without having to go through a long explanation

and I've heard that some docs give out cards. If you have one, would

you please email me or post what it says? Do restaurant's accept

them? What do you say to the waiter?

Curiously yours,

Jennell

I was in SouPlantation the other day (what a change -- pre-op I would have

laughed at the idea -- which is why I needed the RNY), and wound up paying

full price $10 or so, for a plate full of salad and an iced tea. I talked to

the manager who said if I could produce a card showing I'd had the RNY,

they'd give me kid's price, which is about $4 and change.

Now--to find the card. UCLA, where I had the surgery, used to give them out,

but I haven't had contact with anybody there for a few years....

I got this and a couple of other links, so now I have no excuse for writing

my doc's name, laminating and diving into a good salad. (Diving into a good

salad -- still can't get used to that)

Thanks,
