Guest guest
Carol, You are not alone. I am the same way. I can eat one slice as a half of a sandwich, but not alone. If I eat rolls or French or Italian bread before dinner I generally will not be able to finish my meal. Patty Spakoski Open RNY 2-25-99 Boston, MA Dr. Forse 267/145/225 Help!! Re: a food question Even after 2 years bread gives me a problem and I try to stay away from it. I don't know how " normal " this is but bread makes a big dough ball in my pouch and sits there forever. I can eat crispy crackers, pretzels, popcorn and no problem. Yesterday, I ate 1/2 bagel and was " uncomfortable " for about 2 hours after. If I eat any bread at all I try to eat a crust of homemade bread or hard crust Italian or French. This is how it is with me - I can't speak for everyone. The other thing with bread, IMHO, is that it is too high carb and not enough nutrients.
