Guest guest
Hi Diane, Thank you for writing yesterday. Eventhough you felt you had no advice, your words were very comforting. I am feeling more comfortable today so far and better all around as well. I completely understand what you were saying about frustration with doctors. That is just horrible about your dentist and the appliance. I can't imagine what you must be feeling considering what expense, time, and pain to yourself you are facing. Similarly, though not as drastic, I had a similar experience with my first orthodontist. He never told me about my problems with my jaw. He haphazardly aligned my teeth, never corrected my bite and took my braces off after 2.5 years and told us thousands of dollars later that those results were as good as it was going to get. I had a semi correct " bite " if I jutted out my lower jaw. Who bites and chews with their lower jaw stuck out?? Anyway, here I am paying for orthodontics a second time and finally correcting everything once and for all. I have had a taste of what you must be going through and it is bitter.... How are the braces going for you a day later?? They can be hard to get used to! But soon you won't be too aware of them. Hang in there!! And if you have any questions about them, ask... I've had them twice!! Thank you again... take care, Katja
