Guest guest
Hi everyone, Havent' posted in a while, but I want to share my cruise experience. Dh and I took a fabulous Carnival four day cruise, our first one! I had been very concerned about how I was going to deal with the eating aspect of this, cuz all I have heard is that the best part of the cruise is the food, well I am proof that you CAN have a fabulous time without stuffing yourself all day plus, I dropped three more pounds. I ate all day! However, of course I could not eat a lot, but I DID NOT feel at all deprived like I thought I would. For breakfast I had omelettes with cheese, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes, ate about a third to a half of it plus, a half piece of bacon and a bite of potatoes. This filled me up and I was satisfied. I drank my coffee while I was standing in line waiting for my omelette to be prepared. I was able to have a couple of drinks during the day with no problem and for lunch I would have hotdog without the bun plus mustard. I had a yogurt cone in the middle of the afternoon. Then at dinner, I had soup, a little salad, a few bites of the main dish and vegetable plus a taste of dessert. Then if my dh wanted to go to the midnight buffet, I went and had a little piece of delicious roast beef and a little chocolate mousse. I was just fine. I did not dump once!!!! My blood work is coming back beautifully. Good iron and B12. Cholesterol is still 205, but it has come down steadily without the Cholsterol med I was on and my doctor encourages me to keep doing what I'm doing and it will continue down. Guest guest
Now that is living!!!! Good for you. I went on my first cruise for my honeymoon in October and boy was it fun. There is so much to do that the food was not our focus either. Glad to hear that you had so much fun.
