Guest guest
The Apple Computer of Bone Loss Look for a credit-card-sized device out on the market this year that will tell patients whether their treatment for bone loss is doing the job. No more going to the doctor for X-rays or ultrasound to see if your bones are bulking up. Instead you can test yourself within five minutes with the palm-sized scanner. But you'll need a prescription. Ostex International Inc., the manufacturer, says the device will do for osteoporosis sufferers what Macintosh did for PC users. No word on the cost of the Osteomark, but if you want to hear more about it, go to www.wrmn1410.com and listen by computer to the American Health Radio which features the device from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. tonight, Oct. 1; 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, and Friday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m., MST.
