Guest guest
Meggie, I prick open the capsules and drizzle it on toast (I use Kinnikinicks white sandwich bread) then cover with gfcf margarine or peanut butter. I usually do 2 capsules per slice and drizzle towards center as my little one doesn't like crust. I was really surprised but she gobbles this down no problem, last weekend she ate almost a whole loaf of bread in one day! (not all with clo) Hope this helps, Valarie in Ca
Guest guest
When we first put Dallas on CLO, we put it in his drinks. Soon enough he caught on and began refusing to drink anything with the CLO in it. At that point we began giving it to him in a medicine spoon. He puts up a little fuss but he takes it because he would rather get it over with, rather than ruin the taste of his juice! It was hard in the beginning until he learned that he had to take it. Good luck with it. > I just got this from Kirkman's today and am hoping it will help with > the visual stimming. How do you get this nasty stuff in them? Thanks, Meggie Meggie - We are lucky in that my boy takes all his supps in his morning milk with no problem. The doses later in the day are more of a problem but here is what we have done to get him to take the stuff: Put it in morning " milk " usually Dari Free if that doesn't work, make morning milk " chocolate " milk - that helps disguise the taste. Also - he will drink juice more easily if it has an ice cube in it - I guess that's the novelty factor I have also used one of those medicine plungers (looks like a shot) to " shoot up " his juice box with supplements - yes, I know it is devious, but it does work. The best way to do it is to get rid of some of the juice of the top - which usually requires me sucking it out of the box. I want him to see me take the straw off the side of the box and put it in so he thinks he's getting an undoctored juice. Also - I have mixed some stuff with honey and with peanut butter - but that doesn't always work. Anyway - those are the different methods I have used to get this stuff into him. Good luck!
