Guest guest
I started getting heavy when I was a teenager. That probably doesn't help much, lol. But I wanted to tell you about My Virtual Model http://www myvirtualmodel.com/mvmhome/jsp/home.jsp You can put in your weight and height and make a model of yourself, and then you can change the weight to see approximately what you will look like at other weights. Good luck on your approval!!!! -- Not sure what to expect... I have a probably silly question for you guys. I have been heavy my entire life. I am waiting on my approval to move forward with my RNY. My question is how many of you have been heavy your whole life? I have never since I was a young child have I been in anything smaller than a 24W. How many of you have lost your weight and are now in a 12,14 or 16 or any small size for that matter? I sit and try to visualize what I will look like and I can't do it. I wonder if it will be like that new show the Swan and I won't recognize myself. Really looking for some input on this. Thanks guys. It is just a funny feeling to know that for the first time in my life I might be able to wear regular size clothes one day. Guest guest
I've been heavy my whole life, don't remember a time when I wasn't and with every diet came additional weight and additional heartache. I dated a lot, exercised a lot, dieted a lot and generally didn't let my weight get me down. I met my husband May 5, 2001 and about a year ago I decided I had to do something to get this weight off once and for all. After reading Carnie 's first book I started researching the surgery hardcore, found a great doctor and staff and April 9, 2004 had Lap RNY surgery and have never been happier. I'll be 1 month out Friday and am down 30-35lbs. from a high of 348 prior to surgery (don't show on my scale yet so all I can do is guesstimate, but was down 22 lbs. at 2 week check in). I'm back to exercising, so happy that I was released to have salads and light meats (tuna, chicken salad, shrimp) yesterday and looking forward to the kind of weightloss the other members of this and other groups show. We are all such inspiration and so strong to go through this. I wish you all the best Dora!!! 4/9/04 348/320/130 > I have a probably silly question for you guys. I have been heavy my entire life.
