Guest guest
Speaking of BMs - and we were!- why do matches help eliminate the smell? I'm sure it's the sulfer but WHY does the sulfer work? And, do they really work? Thanks! ===== Dee Waiting for Ins. Co. Guest guest
why do matches help eliminate the smell? I'm sure it's the sulfer but WHY does the sulfer work? I don't know if it is the sulfer, or if it is the flame. I do know that if I have to chop an onion, I keep a candle burning close to me, and that reduces the tears! (at the suggestion of a food magazine who chopped zillions of onions and tested every old wive's tale out there. Contact lenses were the best, and candles 2nd.) I can't stand the smell of matches so I can't testify whether it works or not, and I don't bother with a candle, either. I just sort of force everyone to live with it. I'm very mean. Guest guest
I always thought the flame burned up the offending gas that causes the odor.
